Hope for the best and prepare for the worst!

Hope for the best, and
prepare for the worst!
Does it challenge your "family values" to see a young man proudly displaying that he carries condoms with him? Would it change your mind to know that he is a virgin? What if he is already a teenaged father?
Sometimes we put too much stock in our own reactions as adults to our own "sensibilities," especially when it comes to young people. That emotional reactiveness is neither a good example for youth nor is it the behavior of a reasonable adult.
So, if it does indeed challenge you, know that you have some work to do in understanding others. Know that adults ourselves must be aware of your reaction--based in our own successes, failures, hopes and fears--remove it from the equation, think or pray on the true facts of a given situation, accept the realities, then approach with compassion for those involved.
Only the universe knows what truly is the best and worst!
Much Love...Chase
